Developed with input from over 50 international experts, this curriculum provides a comprehensive framework for integrating circular economy principles and sustainability into furniture design and production.
What’s New?
The new curriculum combines essential skills, knowledge, and competencies required for a Circular Furniture Designer. These include a deep understanding of sustainable materials, resource efficiency, and stakeholder engagement. With the growing importance of circularity in the furniture industry, this profile aligns with global sustainability goals and addresses the need for industry professionals capable of designing with minimal environmental impact.
Dual Vocational Training Course
In response to industry demand, the FLIER project also introduces a dual vocational training course for young workers. This innovative course blends online learning with hands-on practical experience, allowing students to gain the expertise required to navigate the complex landscape of sustainable furniture design.
The course is aligned with Level 4 of the European Qualifications Framework, providing a recognized qualification that enhances the career prospects of those entering the circular economy sector. It empowers participants to develop innovative furniture solutions that reduce waste, extend product life cycles, and contribute to environmental sustainability.
