On May 19th, we are excited to announce the launch of an international hackathon focused on eco-design, featuring first-year students from the Green Industrial Design program at ITS Malignani. This event is part of the Erasmus+ FLIER project – The Future of Furniture: Circular Furniture Designers for a Sustainable Industry. Students will work in teams on a successful case study from SURU company, emphasizing sustainability and circular design.
During this hackathon, participants will have the chance to deepen critical themes such as environmental and social sustainability, the use of biomaterials, and the new legislative framework regarding eco-design.
The project will culminate in a three-day international mobility event, where the winning team of the hackathon will be awarded by a panel of experts. Students and teachers from Spain, Ireland, Italy, and Slovenia will gather at the Cluster Arredo Innovation Platforms for knowledge exchange and innovative workshops on circularity in the furniture sector.
