Barcelona, July 10 — The newly launched AMBIT Hub, a multidisciplinary space designed to foster innovation and competitiveness within the habitat and contract ecosystem, opened its doors with a powerful first event: a workshop focused on innovation and circular design for the habitat sector, which brought together 29 participants.
As part of the session titled “Training Designers for a Circular Future,” Massimiliano Rumignani, Senior International Project Manager at AMBIT, introduced participants to the FLIER project, the educational resources developed within the framework of the project and the newly launched online training course for Circular Furniture Designers. The course has been developed to equip sector professionals with the skills and knowledge needed to face the evolving demands of sustainability and circularity. This course is part of a broader curriculum created under the FLIER initiative, which aims to prepare the furniture industry for upcoming European environmental legislation and the challenges of the circular transition.
The session concluded with a collaborative reflection on the training needs of the sector, reinforcing FLIER’s commitment to supporting innovation and capacity-building in the sector’s circular transition.
